Comments:First bulb from Fin Stewart. He says: Several dozen of them were used on a warning board in the North Sydney telephone exchange from about 1930/35. They replaced older round bulbs with tips as these burnt out. The whole board must have had over 500 bulbs on it, each one connected to a downtown office. If there was a problem with a phone line, the bulbs would light. This system was shut down about 1980. I have never seen this style anywhere else.
